The Coastal Walk -Siúl Cois Chósta 

If you want off-the-beaten-track coastal landscapes then explore Lúibín Mhaírois is a 5km loop a mix of beach & boithrín close to Carna. Má tá tú ag iarriadh siúl cois fharraige ba cheart duit  Lúibín Mhaírois (Moyrus) a chuir ar do liosta.  Siúlóid 5km  thosaíonn ag religh Mhaíróis agus cuid de ar an trá agus cuid de ar bhóithríní.

Wander in the Woods -Siúlóid sa Choill

Ballynahinch Estate has over 16km of woodland trails throughout the estate. The trails wind through some native woodlands, along lakeshores and by the river.  As an added bonus the  Connemara Greenway runs through the Ballynahinch Estate and this 6km route encompasses some wonderful views, sheltered wooded areas and is perfect for those who wish to explore the area away from the main roads.  Tá 16km de conair foraoise tríd Estáit Baile na hInse

In the footsteps of St Patrick – Lean lorg Naomh Pádraig

An tSeanbhóthar is a 10k walk between which winds it’s way from Corr na Móna to Clonbur.  The walk skirts along Mount Gable and has stunning views of Loch Corrib.

According to folklore this is the path that St Patrick took on his way to Máméan.

Mountain Walk -Siúlóid Sléíbhe

If you are looking for mountain hike without an intense climb then Diamond Hill or Binn Ghuaire in Connemara National Park is one of the most popular walks in Connemara.  This route follows gravel paths, wooden boardwalk and steps to the top of  of the hill. The trail is strenous in parts but the views from the summit of Diamond Hill (Binn Ghuaire) (400m) are a fine reward.Leanann an siúlóid suas Binn Ghuaire cosán gairbhéil, cosán clár agus céimeanna suas fánaí Bhinn Ghuaire. Buggy & Wheelchair Friendly – Feiliúnach do Bugaí agus Chaothaoireachta Rothaí

The Galway Wind Way has six recreational trails. All are family friendly but the Split Rock Trail is particular is manageable for buggys and wheelchairs. It is a short trail with slight gradient.

Poetry Trail – Conair Filíochta 

The Letterfrack Poetry Trail consists of nine specially commissioned poems by Conamara Environmental Education & Cultural Centre (CEECC)  to celebrate their 30th annivesary in 2014. The poems explore the themes of place.    The plaques located in the Connemara National Park, the Connemara West Centre and the village of Letterfrack thus linking the three places together. Tá 9 ndán ar phlaiceanna i coimisiúnaíodh go speisialta ar an gConsán Filíocht i Leitir Fraic.  Léiríonn na dántaí téamaí na háite agus tá na plaiceann suite i bPáirc Náisiúnta Chonamara, Ionad Chonamara Thiar agus sráidbhaile Leitir Fraic ag nascadh na dtrí áit. Cuireann an cosán siúlóid deas agus ábhar machnaimh ar fáil do mhuintir na háite agus cuairteoirí araon.

Poetry Trail

 

An Spidéal Promenade -Promanáid an Spidéil

The Spiddal Promenade takes you along the seafront.  Follow the path along the coast past the SeanChéibh arcross the bridge (Droichead Timín Joe Tim)  and eventually reaching the new pier. Great views towards the Aran Islands and Clare Hills.  Return by the same route or return to the village via the road. Teann promanáid an Spidéil cois chósta go dtí An Chéibh Nua.
