The Kylemore Abbey summer schedule is here with walks, talks, and more to fill your day in Kylemore Abbey!

It’s a full agenda at Kylemore, with lots to enjoy. Kicking off with Victorian Walled Garden Tours, Pony & Pig Feeding and History Talks every day across the estate

History Talks

Four times daily (11am, 12pm, 2pm and 3pm), our knowledgeable Guides offer complimentary history talks in the Saloon Hall in the Abbey.  Delve into the rich history of the many generations which have called Kylemore Castle home with our guides who talk about all the fascinating stories passed down through out generations.

Feeding Time & Talk with the Connemara Ponies

Three times daily (11am, 1pm & 3pm) gather at the Pony Paddock where you will see our beautiful herd of Connemara Ponies and their new foals getting an afternoon snack from one of our pony handlers. Come along and listen to one of our Pony Handlers as they talk all about Kylemore Abbey’s Peaceful Herd.  Parental supervision necessary.

Guided Victorian Walled Garden Talks

Explore the beauty of the Victorian Walled Garden with one of Kylemore’s knowledgeable guides. Join one of our knowledgeable guides everyday at 12pm and 2pm and delve into the rich history of the garden, discovering the new multi media exploration of this unique garden from its creation as a pleasure garden of great ambition and innovation in 1867 to its reemergence from the arrival of the nuns in 1920 as a garden of abundance supplying plentiful food to the growing school and religious community.

Meet the Kune Kune Pigs

Come along and meet Kylemore’s comical duo, the Kune Kune pigs, Ken & Perry! Every day at 11:30am. Join one of the team at the Pig Sty, beside the Victorian Walled Garden, and discover more about the fascinating Kune Kune heritage breed and Ken & Perry’s unique little traits.

Guided Tour of the neo-Gothic Church 

Immerse yourself in the beauty of the neo-Gothic Church and join one of our knowledgeable Guides at 4pm daily in front of the neo-Gothic Church. Discover the enchanting history of this fourteenth century style, elegant building that is a lasting testament to the love of Mitchell Henry for his wife Margaret.

Daily Prayers with the Benedictine nuns

The Benedictine nuns at Kylemore Abbey invite visitors and guests to join them for daily Mass in the Monastic Church.
