Aer Arann Islands Half Marathon

Set against the backdrop of rugged coastlines, wide bays, and sandy beaches, this half marathon is more than just a race. It’s a weekend of community, ceol, and culture, offering participants an opportunity to experience the warmth and hospitality of Inis Mór’s residents while making a real difference for patients in need.

Since its inception, the Aer Arann Islands Half Marathon has raised over €200,000 to help improve patient care at the Mater Hospital, which serves over 420,000 patients annually. Funds from the marathon go directly toward purchasing essential medical equipment to enhance treatment and care where it’s needed most.

Participants can choose from weekend and overnight packages, making it easy to enjoy everything the island has to offer while taking part in this special event. Whether you’re a seasoned runner or simply looking for a scenic walk with a purpose, this half marathon is open to all levels.
