Heritage Week at Brigit’s Garden

23 August, 2pm – 3:30pm | Wonderful Wildflowers – Guided Walk
Enjoy a guided walk through the wildflower meadows at Brigit’s Garden and appreciate their importance for biodiversity. Expert Dolores Keegan will help identify a wide range of wildflowers, and Jenny Beale will share tips on growing annual and perennial meadows.
Suitable for adults and interested teens.

24 August, 11am – 12:30pm | Trees in Irish Culture and Mythology
Join nature guide Carol Barrett for an interactive walk through the gardens and woodlands to learn about native trees and shrubs, Ogham script, and the role of nature in Brehon laws. Make a wooden Ogham pendant to take home.
Suitable for adults and interested teens.

24 August, 2pm – 3:30pm | Storytelling Workshop
Join storyteller and forest school leader Carol Barrett for an interactive storytelling workshop in the woods. Irish nature-based myths and legends come alive with costumes, masks, and creative activities. Held under a large outdoor shelter.
Suitable for adults with children aged 4+, younger children also welcome.
