Learn about the importance of Sheep & Wool in Connemara at the centre in Leenane.
Experience
This follows the process of wool from sheep to yarn through hands-on wool-craft demonstrations such as spinning, natural dyeing, carding and weaving. There are exhibits on traditional farming methods, natural dyeing & knitting. The experience was set up by the present owner’s father over 30 years ago. It is an environmentally and child-friendly experience.

On the Leenaun crossroads between Westport and Galway. The Museum is open Monday to Friday from March to October and the opening hours are 9.30 am – 5 pm.
