Take a detour along ‘Bog Road’ from Clifden, stretch your legs at Roundstone village or explore by foot, bike or car across the empty peat bog to Derrigimlagh Discovery Point near Clifden where Marconi built a major transatlantic wireless station and Alcock & Brown touched down after their historic first non-stop transatlantic flight in history in 1919.
