Clints & Grykes: An Artist’s Celebration of the Limestone Pavement

All Saints Heritage Centre hosts an exhibit of the works of local artist Patsy O’Sullivan (works on canvas and board, acrylic and collage). Patsy’s unique eye and visual sensibility has been cultivated through years of exploration on the limestone pavement that surrounds the exquisite beauty of Lough Mask and Lough Corrib. The high level of detail in the paintings encourages intense inspection, juxtaposed with a visual abstraction that enhances the significance of the outwardly straightforward subject. The artist
simultaneously captures our stunning local geology as a solid reality and a psychological landscape. She conjures a state of mind as much as a place through the unique lens of location and belonging.
