Oíche Chultúir i gConamara

On 19 Meán Fómhair / 19th September, Connemara and the Islands will come alive with music, dance, food, art, and storytelling for Culture Night / Oíche Chultúir. Here’s a taste of the diverse programme, from coast to hills, islands to abbeys.  Beidh Conamara agus na hOileáin beo le ceol, damhsa, bia, ealaín agus scéalta do Oíche Chultúir. Seo blaiseadh den chlár lán éagsúlachta, ó chósta go cnoic, ó oileán go mainistir.

An Spidéal

• Céiliúradh Cois Cladaigh
  Céilí bríomhar ag Seanchéibh an Spidéil – lán ceoil, damhsa agus spraoi do gach aois. Beidh iascaire ag deisiú líonta agus beidh caitheamh cruite ar siúl, ag léiriú traidisiúin na háite.
• Ros na Rún – Open Sets
  An exclusive behind-the-scenes tour of the popular Irish language TV series. View sets, production spaces, and take part in a Q&A with the team.
• Stuaim Láimhe: Doras na Teangan – An Cruiscín Lán

  Bilingual traditional Irish food demonstration with Diarmuid Ó Mathúna & Slow Food Galway, exploring local ingredients and culinary traditions.

• Culture Night Fare
  Live demonstrations by local artists and Inishbofin crafters, a handmade photobooth, circus performances, and the scent of fresh crêpes in the square.
• Play-Along Silent Cinema Night
  Add your own sound to classic silent films with musical instruments and props.
• Art Together Clifden
  Local artists creating live visual art from a still life in the square.
• Siamsa an Gheimhridh – Station House Theatre
  Amhráin, orthaí, paidreacha agus scéalta ón 19ú haois – collection by Domhnall Ó Fotharta, performed by Peadar Ó Ceannabháin and his daughters.

Maigh Cuilinn

• Oíche dár Saol – Le Chéile
  Ceoltóirí, filíocht, rince & dramaíocht i lár an baile. Music, poetry, dancing and theatre in the heart of the village.

An Fháirche (Clonbur)

• Oíche Shean-Nóis
  Ceoltóirí & amhránaithe ó Dhúiche Sheoigheach, Camus agus Cois Fharraige – Sarah Ghriallais, Áighne Ní Chadhain, Colm Seoighe agus go leor eile – with dance from the Uí hIarnáin & Uí Dhubháin families.

Carna

• Oíche an tSeanchais agus na Nua-Aoiseachta – Áras na hOllscoile
  Ceiliúradh ar cheoltóirí, amhránaithe, damhsóirí agus aisteoirí áitiúla – from An Stíl mar a Bhí and Comhaltas Óg Charna.

Inis Mór

• Sheep! Open Rehearsals – Pump Road Inis Mór 
  Open rehearsals for a play by Jenni Nikinmaa – about sheep, people, and belonging. Watch the creative process live.

Cloghbrack, Clonbur

• The Bard of Cloghbrack
  Martin O Halloran reading from The Bard of Cloghbrack, the story of Micheal Luke Pháidín.  A poet from Cloghbrack who emigrated to the US in the early 20th century.

Mainistir na Coille Móire / Kylemore Abbey

• Where Light Lingers
  An immersive experience with light, sound, and performance – bringing the abbey grounds and pathways to life at night.
