Explore Leitir Móir
Leitir Móir is situated 47km west of Galway city along the rugged Connemara coastline. It can be accessed by a network of 19th century causeways an it is one of the largest islands in Connemara’s Archipelago. Cnoc Leitir Móir is a hill that’s 117m above sea level with fabulous views of Connemara’s Archipelago. There is a beautiful 8km coastal walk called Lúibín Gharumna or Garumna Loop which lies south Leitir Móir and can be accessed by Carraig a’Logáin Bridge which is another Wild Atlantic Way discovery point – the 2,500km coastal journey along Ireland’s western seaboard.
