Beidh Bio-Blitz, Tóraíocht Taisce agus Glantachán Trá ar an Trá Mhór Dé Luain 19 Lúnasa 2024. Tá an Chomhairle Chontae ag iarraidh na tránna iontacha i gContae na Gaillimhe a chur chun cinn chomh maith leis an tábhacht a bhaineann lenár dtránna a choinneáil ghlan agus slachtmhar. Tá sé tábhachtach go mbeadh an t-aos óige ar eolas mar gheall ar an timpeallacht nádúrtha luachmhar atá le fáil ar an trá.

Rannóg Chomhshaoil Chomhairle Chontae na Gaillimhe atá ag eagrú an ócáid seo. Tá sé mar chuid den tSeachtain Oidhreachta Náisiúnta. Ócáid dhátheangach í seo.

Don’t miss this Heritage Week Event takes place at An Trá Mhór on Monday 19th August 2024 between 11am -1pm

Galway County Council want to promote our pristine beaches in County Galway. In addition they want to create awareness of biodiversity on our seashores. Emphasise the importance of keeping our beaches clean and tidy. Discover the invaluable natural environment that can be found on the beach. Well maintained nourished beaches provide important wildlife habitat areas. These are being threatened by erosion, litter and climate change. This event will ensure our young people are made aware of these factors.

This event is hosted by the Environment Section of Galway County Council. This is a bilingual event.
